Geometric Garden Birds
Just launched, our new collection of geometric garden birds.
When I was a kid, my family moved from the town to a big old house in the countryside, it was more necessity and damage control than anything else. With a family of 8 kids, 7 girls and 1 boy, living in a 4 bed estate house was just asking for trouble.
Our house was on the banks of the River Liffey so we were surrounded by wildlife. I was in heaven, while other little girls were playing with dolls, I was out roaming the fields and forests trying to spot these weird and wonderful creatures. I read every book I could find, I knew every name of the birds and wildlife, yep, I was an odd child!!
Teenage years came, followed by moving to the City, I lost touch with my love of nature. Until I began creating my own artwork again, I didn't realize how deep my affection for our native birds and animals still was.
I have chosen a few of my favorite garden birds to illustrate. We have a robin, a wren, a bullfinch and a blue tit.
The birds have quite a contemporary feel to them, I have chosen bold but muted colors, on a soft moss green background.
The designs are available as unframed art prints, sets of greeting cards, and ceramic mugs.
They make great gifts for bird lovers and nature enthusiasts
